Performing along side Sir Donald McIntyre, in the NZSO semi-staged production of Parsifal in the Michael Fowler Centre in 2006 was a highlight for me. I played two roles — that of Squire and a Flower Maiden. With the NZSO and an all-New Zealand cast we proved that we can produce Wagner down-under with excellent results.

Biography — Linden Loader

Born in Wanganui, my career was kicked started when I won the 1981 Mobil Song Quest while studying for a Bachelor of Music at Victoria University of Wellington.

I was also awarded the Dame Joan Hammond Scholarship for study at the Melbourne College of the Arts. I continued my studies in London at The Guildhall of Music and Drama in 1987–88. During this time I toured Germany and Italy with a choir and orchestra as a soloist singing Oratorio.

Since my return to New Zealand I have worked as a freelance musician performing throughout the country.

My specialisation in contemporary New Zealand music has led to many premiers of New Zealand works including: Anthony Ritchie's Quartet in 2003 and Jack Body's 1982 Between Two Fires, a collaboration with dancer Michael Parmenter.
