Biography — Jamie Bull: director, choreographer, educator, innovator and artist representative

Jamie has over 25 years performance and training experience. She is passionate about creativity, performance and the richness, wonder and mystery of life. She uses her energy to juggle a private practice with creative initiatives and worldwide travel.

In addition to her extensive choreographic and dance tutoring experience, Jamie is an experienced group facilitator, therapist, performance motivator, and creator of unique theme or site specific events.

She is qualified in arts, movement, training and education, and has worked in education, in health, and in commercial and non-commercial theatre and performance.

She renews her spirit in the garden and walking on the beach.

Founding Director of New Zealand’s first professional contemporary dance company — Impulse Dance Theatre, Jamie has choreographed for most professional dance companies in New Zealand, as well as her own. She still maintains an involvement in theatre, and has a particular interest in developing untrained performers to professional performance standards, currently including writers and barbershop choruses.

She is noted for her bi-cultural commitment and understanding.

Her most recent career development and current passion is in putting her experience and expertise into supporting a select group of performing artists, through this agency: International New Zealand Artists.
